The Friends

I've gotta say, we have some wonderful friends! And though we left a lot of fantastic people in Arizona, we have moved close to lots of longtime friends and it is just great!

We've also gotten to see Janet, one of the girls I knew as a teenager. She and her husband live near us. Jed and I were in their wedding in 2011.

One of Jed's best friends since college, Chris, and her fiance Jan, come from Chicago to visit us and we go out to the city to see them too! It's awesome that our kids know them so well :) They make us happy!

Jed, Chris and Jan have played on a few Chicago co-ed soccer teams together and had a blast! We had fun going to watch them, too, despite the "curse" (the fact that Jed never wins a game when I'm there to watch!)

We've shared light saber fights--Tagg really does have great ideas :) And as you can see, both he and Reece take their battles seriously :)

Our ward here is fantastic. We really enjoy so many people here, and Tagg has lots of good friends! (Bonus: I love his friends' moms, so it's a win-win!) This is us at the Children's Museum. (And I think the pictures of Reece above capture the first time she ever actually sat somewhere for any period of time without being strapped in! She is constant motion... and Taggert is constant chatting!)

Sweet KaraLee, doo doo doo! (...to the tune of "Sweet Caroline")... anyway, my wonderful roomie from BYU lives about 40 minutes away and her boy and girl are just a bit older than our boy and girl! Perfect! Her family is so nice to be around, and I love it that they're just a short drive away! (Really, we kinda live in the sticks. Everything big is 45 minutes in one direction or another ;) Totally worth the trip! Once, as we were pulling away from their home, Tagg said, "I love Grant! I wish I could be with him forever!"
Cute Madelynn wanted me to take a bunch of pictures of her silly face, so I happily obliged!
Some old pics I found on my phone and computer while I was compiling the HUNDREDS of pictures I had yet to post!
...Me with Baby Tagg and a couple girlfriends (by that I mean my friends that are girls, one of them being an ex girlfriend of Jed's! Yeah, he has good taste in people, and I honestly enjoy many of his former/temporary companions!) Also, I miss the hat in that picture. It flew off in a windstorm while I was biking in AZ with Brigham in my bike basket to get groomed. Never found it :(
A really fun group of girls from Jed's singles ward in AZ that took me in and, among other fun times, threw me a surprise bridal shower (most of the sweet girls that attended didn't even know me, I really appreciated that :)
Taggie chillin with Justin Pearson--I will always love that whole family!
And Natalie and I on a roadtrip to California to write our murder mystery! It was awesome!! (The roadtrip and the murder mystery :) That girl and I could talk in circles for hours!
And Scott! It's always a joy to see him and his family! We've decided that our kids are destined to become great friends, since the boys and the girls are so close in age and they've got a generation of best-friendship behind them :)

And here come some videos of good times at Chris' house and the aforementioned light saber fight in our yard:

  1. Yesterday Madelynn asked "Where did Taggert and Reese go?" She started crying because she wanted to play right then. We should get together at a park halfway so you get a driving break:)
