Gabi Summer--Vegas Roadtrip!

*Random but helpful note: click on these pictures to blow them up if you can't see the little pictures! *
The first weekend of our Gabi Summer was spent in Vegas, baby, Vegas! We hopped in the car on Friday and stayed there for 3 fun- and family-filled days! Jed's brother Joshua was sealed to wife Shavonne in the Las Vegas Temple. We had a great time!
Gabi was such a wonderful companion for Taggert in the car; this was the longest car trip Tagg's ever taken, and -- thanks to Gabi -- he enjoyed it! We saw beautiful sights (some of them -- ie the picture at the top left -- graciously constructed for us by the aliens!) and only had to stop a few times to set up the little potty by the side of the road! :)
The wedding was beautiful, of course, and the time with family was wonderful! There were LOTS of pictures and inbetween awesome photo ops like the one in the middle, Tagg kept himself busy exploring the temple grounds (and enjoyed it, promise--that dubious picture in the middle is him smiling for the camera :) !
The reception was so well-done; I am amazed at what fabulous things creative people can do to a ward gymnasium! Gabi made some sweet friends with her new cousins when she wasn't busy decorating the car or dancing with Uncle Josh! And she wasn't the only one lucky enough to get a dance with half of the happy couple--we had a line-up dance so everybody who wanted a turn could purchase one :)
All in all, it was a wonderful excuse to get the McClure family all together for the first time in years, and a fabulous opportunity to join two families together, as well!

We had a McClure family dinner the night before the wedding and I think these pictures prove that our family had a great time! How fantastic that Gabi could be there so our family was truly complete!!!

Norine and Jared were staying in the same hotel we were, and I asked to have our room switched so we ended up with adjoining rooms! It rocked! We had such a good time together, and it was the best to have somewhere to hang out in the wee hours of the night after Tagg went to bed. And, speaking of bed, the beds were quite entertaining!
The last morning we were there, we went to breakfast at McDonald's with Jed's cousin Chaz and his family. We had a blast... especially Tagg, who got a bit of action before the long trip back... when he gets older we'll break the news to him that cousins are off-limits ;) but for now, we'll continue with the "will you give her a kiss, please?" business and apologize to him later :)
