Baby-Proofing!

Taggert can crawl really fast... especially when the dvds are in sight! :) They used to be completely exposed, all lined up on that shelf underneath the tv.
So in order to minimize the "no's" and stress around here, I made these dvd boxes!
A really nice manager at Walgreens gave me some cardboard boxes they were about to throw away and I covered them with black wrapping paper! He totally crawls right past them! Wahoo!

Kudos go to Alanna for inspiring this idea... she covered a big cardboard box with cute wrapping paper that matched her living room to make a toy box!

Rainy Day :)

So a couple days ago, I popped Brigham in my bike basket and rode him about a mile away to Petco to get his nails clipped. It wasn't too hot out cuz it was really cloudy... while we were inside, it began to rain, and by the time we were halfway home, the clouds were pelting us with rain bullets! Ouch! That only lasted for a few minutes, and the rest of the ride was actually quite refreshing!
...And yes, I did feel like the Wicked Witch of the West :)

Fun Times!!!

I got a baby bike seat for my bike the other day for $7 on craigslist! Hallelujah!!!
We even had a less-hot day a few days later, so I strapped Taggert in and we were off! ...He was sleepy though, I
Our fantastic neighbor, Kristen, made us some DELICIOUS and beautiful cupcakes! She made us three and planned on Jed and me sharing "Taggert's," but the baby had other plans! :)

Tagg got stuck under the stool yesterday! So he just laid his head down on the rung! :) cutie :)

We had our friends, the Lees, over for dinner last night! We were making lasagna for them. When I had made the first pan and was about to start layering the second, Taggert got really hungry. So Jed offered to layer it up while I fed Tagg. I gave him layering directions from the couch, but couldn't see anything he was doing. When Tagg was done eating, I went over to help him out, and saw... An entire lasagna layered up on the COOKIE SHEET! :) I had put the cooked noodles on the coookie sheet to cool, and Jed just figured that they were there because that's where the lasagna belonged! It was awesome! He figured out how to put it in the casserole dish and it ended up way more beautiful than mine! :)
Jed surprised me on Friday morning by telling me to get dressed in my church clothes, cuz he was taking me to the temple!!!! He spent a couple hours with Tagg in the visitor's center while I went through an endowment session! It was amazing! I have to say, I miss going every week like we did before Tagg was born, but I think I am more attentive and excited to be there when I only get to go every once in a while... that's a good challenge for me--whenever I get to go every week again, I'll have to rise to the occasion and appreciate it as much as I do right now! :)

~Another comment on this picture is that Jed is putting together a fantastic missionary dinner for our ward! Each family is encouraged to invite someone or another family who doesn't know about the gospel yet to learn about it and meet our ward family! :) Our ward family is even going to have a 30-day fast for the people that we are going to bring--each family is going to sign up to fast one day of the 30 days! Jed just got called as a ward missionary a few months ago, and he has taken it to the next level! Man, this guy is an inspiration! I love him!

Wash Day!

Taggert likes to stand next to our front-loading washer and smack inside the drum--it occupies him for quite a while... or so I thought!

This morning I put a load in and it was the first time he noticed how amazing the washer is when it's actually working!
He stood there like this for about 15 minutes, just staring at the clothes!
Every once in a while he'd look up at me with a great big smile, but then he'd go right back to those tumbling clothes!

The Tongue!

Keep on checking this post, because I will be updating it whenever I get more tongue pictures!

This baby's tongue is Crazy! It may look normal in this picture, but...

He is sticking it out All the time! (Jed is poking Tagg's newfound ticklespot here--it makes Taggert's legs buckle and he laughs so hard!)

Check that OUT! Have you ever seen a tongue this shape before?!
Flat and wide...

...pointy and to-the-side...

(This is his favorite tongue position, it's like this all the time! :)...triangle straight down...
...it's almost to the ground!...

It's curving UP! ... He has got a homemade cup!

Surprise Date!

Jed surprised me by taking me out to dinner at one of the most romantic places--Tagliani! We had a great time! Tagg loved it too! He gobbled up some of my salmon... but wasn't so excited about the lemonade! Ha!
I wonder if that face is still sour from the drink! :)

Our new camera!!!

We just got a new camera--a Canon Powershot SD 870 IS and I LOVE IT!
This is the first picture we took with it!

I'm almost done reading the 200-page manual on it--it can do some stinkin cool stuff!

Here, I've turned everything black and white except for the green stuff!

And in this one, I swapped green for red! It's finally autumn in Arizona! ;)

(Notice the trees are still green in the side mirror! That wasn't intentional, but it's still neat!!)
