The little man and I went on a tour of Glendale's Recycling Center yesterday! It was quite fascinating! Did you know that they sell the sorted and bundled recylables and that it generates revenue for the community?! What a great way to get community funding! (Way better than taxes! :) Selling these commodities hasn't been as lucrative lately because of the economy, but plastics are still generating the most revenue, getting about $500/ton! They still do most of the sorting by hand in Glendale, although there are a series of magnets that pull out the metal recyclables.
As interesting as all that info was, Taggert was won over by... you guessed it!... The trucks! Big trucks, little trucks, it didn't matter one bit! :) He loved every one of them!
This was the expression on his face as he stared for about 2 minutes straight at the scene in the picture above!

What a great place for a little guy! How did you think to go there?? I love that little boys love trucks and tractors. They're Luke's favorites too. :)
