The Randomness

Creative hats are so much easier to come by when you have a faux hawk to help them stay put :)
I think clouds are lovely: I enjoy the billowy ones, the wispy ones, the ones alive with thunder and lightning, the ones that showcase the sun's brilliance in an almost magical way... I took these pictures one day just outside our front door. If this isn't majesty, I don't know what is.

Well, it doesn't get any more random than this! Here's a quick overview of this random sampling of Tagg from May through August:
He's a lounger (and so is Brigham :), a guitar player, a Ruxpin lover, a hide-and-seeker-behind-the-clothes-on-the-drying-rack; he's a yogurt-bearded dude, a squinty-eyed sombrero head, a corn-loving Midwesterner at heart, a teddy hugger and a juice lover, a pocket kinda guy, an avid reader, a sharer of his high chair (especially when the recipient of his kindness is his balloon guy :) ; he's a sucker-eating, haircut-enduring baby (which results in a blue tongue and a hilarious picture!), a creative little boy when it comes to cardboard boxes and a girl he likes ;), a balloon man who loves to play with his mommy, a very obedient child (who, when told, "You may turn the TV on after you climb in your high chair," pushed said chair over to the TV so he could get it done asap!)... and-- he is incredible!

Constantly doing picture-worthy things (even if those pictures definitely have to be edited a bit ;) , Tagg decided that both he and his teddy bear had to go potty...

These pictures were all taken of Taggert making faces for the camera. And I mean, being asked to make a silly face for the camera, making one, and holding it until the picture gets taken. :) After almost every one, he wants me to turn the camera around so he can see what the photo looks like. Even in the ones where he looks mad, the flash of the camera is immediately followed by a huge smile and a request to review his facial work of art. And, with the exception of the right-hand two on the middle row and the second-from-the-left one on the bottom row, these pictures were all taken on one evening when he and I did an impromptu photo shoot. (I might add that that shoot was totally a coordinated effort: We were both loving it!)

Here's a live-action example of him "smiling for the camera." We think he genuinely thought he was smiling when he did this, but we have no idea where he got it from!

Isn't it interesting the random things that absolutely delight toddlers? He was watching the Backyardigans and totally flipped out (in a good way) when a bunch of worms came into the scene!

I am really enjoying getting to hear what he thinks about a bit more now that he's talking more... His thoughts focus primarily on our friends' dog, Ty, spiders, eating, crickets, juice, trains, Buzz (Lightyear, that is), and movies.
