Sycamore May 09

Tagg and I got to take a strictly pleasure trip to Illinois in May, just before Gabi came to visit. As expected, it was delightful!

Oreos, a blanket-cape, looking out the window to see clouds from the top, and a nap made our ride there enjoyable, as did a cute girl across the aisle Tagg flirted with!

Check out that grass! It's Grandma and Grandpa Klaiss's lawn. Tagg not only enjoyed the grass, he also had a great time playing with the bugs he found crawling around!Aug Fest! My dad's side of the family trekked to Sycamore to spend time with us and we had a blast!

Angie and Glenn brought a whole bunch of Aiden's old clothes to share with Cohen and Tagg, and Alanna put on a 3T vest that looked laughably good! We love our family--happiness reigns when we're together!

Aiden's hilarious! One of my favorite quotes from him is "That's the way we work it, right Grandma?!"

We had been trying (without success) to teach Taggert to give bumps for a while, but when Kyle asked for bumps, Tagg just matter-of-factly did it! Guess Kyle's got that magic touch!
We spent a few nights at Grandma and Grandpa Klaiss's, where we always feel loved and at home!

...and like dancing! ;)
Ahh, family! We spent some real quality time together--Alanna and Cohen were living with Mom & Dad at the time, so we all squeezed into number 533 and relived the good ol' days!

Grandma Kim treated Alanna, Cohen, Tagg & me to a day at an indoor water park. It was so much fun! Cohen looked adorable in his floatie suit and Tagg loved Grandma Kim up the whole time!

If only Tagg could get Aunt Alanna's cozy cozies all the time!
Tagg & Cohen didn't interact a whole bunch: Tagg wasn't into actually playing with other kids yet. :) But they enjoyed playing in the same general area!
In other news, Tagg saw his first puddle ever in Grandma and Grandpa Klaiss's driveway... he was a bit baffled by the rain but seemed to get an idea of what was going on when I told him that the clouds were making water!
We always have to pop in to surprise Great-Great-Grandma Stansbury! We love it that she lives in Sycamore now! Not only does she have her sweet self to offer during our visits, she also has a sweet pad complete with huskie statues, motorized chairs and peek-a-boo friendly restrooms!

Grandma and Grandpa Klaiss treated the whole Aug/formerly Aug/offspring clan to dinner at a cute little local place. Tagg quickly befriended another kid waiting for his food and they silently played with each others' cars, trucks, and emergency vehicles until it was time to eat. The fork is in rememberance of the Genoa weirdies... wonder if I'll remember that semi-memorable story when I read this in the future!
Of course, Cohen was cute as could be and spent the evening amazing us with his verbal skills, as well as with his Mommy-assisted Jack-in-the-Box act!

The plane ride home proved to be as fun as the initial flight, as it was filled with standing up and crashing Star Wars guys :)
...Life just doesn't get any better than this!
